Desert Flight
I have always been drawn to the vast beauty and sacredness of the desert. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to visit various deserts in California, New Mexico, Mexico, Peru and Madagascar. These images were taken with various medium and large format cameras, film, digital and hybrid systems and also low altitude kite aerial systems.

Old Smoky Tree - Image captured with Mamiya RZ67 Pro II and Ilford Delta 100 film. Prints available in different sizes in Hahnnemuhle museum quality paper and Mulberry paper.

Desert Pano - Image captured with Anamorphic lens and images were stitched together to form an extremely large panorama (original print in Mulberry paper 37x224”). Prints available in different sizes in Hahnmulle museum quality paper and Mulberry paper.
Mulberry Paper Prints
This was very much a process of exploration and discovery in how well a photograph would print on Mulberry bark paper. The results are quite spectacular in that the paper absorbs much of the ink into its fibers and produces a soft warm image, just a great work of art. Different sizes available for sale.
Imaging the Desert
THE DESERT IS BEAUTIFUL AND TREACHEROUS, PEACEFUL AND FORGIVING, MAJESTIC AND ENDESS. SOME OF US HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO EXPLORE ITS COMPLEXITY AT WILL, WHILE OTHERS ARE FORCED TO CROSS IT AS PART OF THEIR JOURNEY TOWARDS FREEDOM. DESERT FLIGHT IS A WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE VASTNESS OF THIS SACRED LANDSCAPE AND THE MONUMENTALITY OF ITS GEOLOGY THROUGH A LENS THAT CONTEMPLATES BOTH WORLDS.
