The Magic in the Process
I do have a passion for analog photography, starting with cameras, their technology and how they are able to become an indispensable instrument so that we may capture a moment, a feeling, a landscape, a portrait. The imagination is endless and these analog processes and technologies allow me to truly paint with light. These are some of my latest images I have captured during the summer of 2026 in southwestern France.
Equipment
I am using an Intrepid 4×5 MK1, yes first generation almost 10 years old now. I have three lenses, a 90mm, a 150mm and a 260mm. I am shooting mostly Ilford Delta 100 and I do have a box of Harman direct positive which I also hope to shoot. Regarding the film development, I have a small change bag for loading and then I have a small tank that holds 4- 4×5 negs and this is where I process the film. Easy and totally experimental as there are so many factors that can influence the outcome and this is what I meant by “The magic in the process”.

Wow, it works! I wasn’t sure that it would work at all, I brought all the chemicals to France and had to mix them and didn’t have the proper temperature and then I realized that this film was at least 3 years old and had gone through so many airport scans, and I wasn’t even sure that my light reading… After all that it came out, this is Celine’s grandmothers chair, a family treasure and my first image and processed, It works.
Analogique:
I am beginning to work on various places including shooting indoors which is quite difficult and still experimenting with imagery capture.
